Ease of deployment and integration is facilitated in EA WebModeler as it uses open standards, such as SQL'92; HTML; Java(ECMA) Script; TCP/IP; SMTP, ODBC, CSV etc.

EA WebModeler provides import/export via XML and  API's such as webservices provide for integration with other products. Both meta model and model (content) information may be exchanged. Given permission to do so, users may use EA WebModelers browser based-Import/Export control panel to export internal, or import external information via XML. API's also provide a means to integrate with sources of data in real time. This is achieved via XML based messaging and standard network protocols.

EA WebModeler provides a unique, flexible, Model Type/Model definition facility that enables users to map tools to EA WebModeler and vice versa, thus, any external tool can be supported. EA WebModeler ships with support for Visio as a modeling and visualization tool, thus users can access the EA WebModeler repository, over internet infrastructure, from their desktop Visio installation. Rose and other UML tools can be interfaced via XMI.

The EA WebModeler Requestor is an optional desktop module (dll on MS Windows) that enables client applications to access EA WebModeler from desktop client applications such as Word, Excel, etc.

The real-time API allows interfacing from any tool supporting a scripting environment and network access. Introspection is used to generate API documentation, thus additions or modifications to the API  are reflected immediately and always up to date..

"Anonymous access mode" allowing external portals to access permitted areas within the the EA WebModeler repository. Thus, EA WebModeler may optionally be fronted and "skinned", with a customer proprietary portal interface. Customer are also fronting EA WebModeler with email, using email messaging to populate and update repository content.
